Nominate Woman of Achievement 2019
Jackson Area Business and Professional Women seek nominations for the 2019 Woman of Achievement. The 2019 BPW Woman of Achievement will be announced during the Sterling Award Social at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at Chandelier Restaurant, 575 S. Royal St. in Jackson.
The deadline to nominate is Thursday, Aug. 1, at noon. If your nominee is chosen Women of Achievement, you will be notified by Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at your email or telephone number listed above on the nomination form.
The 2018 Woman of Achievement was Pam Nash, CEO of The Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Past recipients of BPW’s Woman of Achievement award are Justice Martha Craig Daughtrey, Carol Carter-Estes, Helen Herron, Veronica Coleman, Anita Battershell, Caprice East, Mary Tyler, Shirlene Mercer, Judge Christy Little, Kay Gibson, Karolyn Henry, Beth Bates, Terri Kozlowitz, Pat Alford, Jacque Hillman, Jackie Utley, Doris “Cousin Tuny” Freeman, Mary Jo Middlebrooks, Margaret Cole, Linda Higgins, Nancy Zambito-Franz, Dr. Kay Wiles, Patsy Turner, Lynn Menendez, Daryl Chansuthus, Marilyn Jackson, Kristi Seaton Turnbow and Wanda Stanfill.
The Woman of Achievement nominations should meet these criteria: Woman working and/or living in west Tennessee, excluding Shelby County; woman who has achieved distinction in her field; woman who has served as a role model and/or mentor for other working women; woman who embodies the BPW motto: “Women Helping Women,” especially in the work force.
